This for That is an online social exchange platform that supports engagement and participation among organisations, communities and individuals through a task and reward barter system. This for That is aimed at large organisations - neighbourhoods, councils, institutions, companies - where it adopts their existing networks, and offers their citizens increased participation through the co-creation of tasks with achievable rewards. It is established in, but not restricted, to Scotland and has been awarded seed funding from the Firstport LaunchMe programme. LaunchMe offers a potential match grant up to £100,000 for eligible investment secured before May 2015. We’ve learned that even the most proactive organisations are often not as connected as they could be and that resource usage is not always maximised. We have also tested to positive outcomes, incentivised design approaches that activate working connections and participation in resource sharing.
