We shift people from paper to digital receipts and extract value from the information that’s on them. We developed a hardware solution that fits between a traditional receipt printer and the POS system that drives it. This solution captures receipt output and pushes it to the web for access by consumers through their smart phone or web browser and for analysis by our data mining systems. Consumers can retrieve and (re)print their receipts, as needed, and can forward them on (eg. for expenses or tax purposes), export them for import into other systems or organize them as part of their personal finances. This is particularly useful when it comes to returning items or needing to make claims on something like insurance. We mine the information from these receipts and with it, provide retailers with a live dashboard of their daily sales, trend profiles of their customers and comparisons against other time periods.
